Welcome to ignaciouriarte.com
The idea of creating my web-site was born in the spring of 2006 and was put into practice almost immediately (in 2 months time) thanks to the help and collaboration of the following persons, to who I want to express my most sincere gratitude:
Albert Folch and Omar Sosa of Albert Folch Studio – web-design
Esteban de la Monja – web-programming / postproduction video
Vanessa Riboloni – proofreading
Joan Morey – public relations
Fernando Uriarte and Ana-Maria Celaya – funding
Hangar – logistic support
What initially started out as a simple digital portfolio and copy of Martin Creed´s website (martincreed.com) turned into an ambitious art collaboration project with the Albert Folch Studio.
Looking for a strictly office aesthetic, we started out with the idea of a Mac or Windows ‘desktop’. Stylized icons, which resemble the classical ‘document’ were developed for each format of work and menu. They appear throughout the whole website systematically. This way the website gets uniformed and simplified; it turns into a repetitive routine-like experience with a strong office taste, strengthening this way its own contents.
See you soon,
Ignacio Uriarte
